REORGANISATION AND JOB CUTS - SODEXO (TFL CONTRACT) (LUL/15/4)

Further to my previous Circular (IR/339/20, 27th August 2020) and despite our protests, Sodexo now intends to proceed with its reorganisation including 30 redundancies and has commenced consultation with those at risk. The Lead Officer will also be meeting with the Company to discuss this matter.

Dear Colleague,

OSIME BROWN: URGENT ACTION

The union is supporting the campaign to stop the deportation of Osime Brown, a 21-year-old, black, autistic, learning-disabled man imprisoned on a 'joint enterprise' conviction for being present when a mobile phone was stolen. Osime has been given a date of 7 October for his release from prison into the custody of the immigration service in preparation for his deportation to Jamaica.  We have to act urgently.

Further to my previous Circular (IR/465/19, 15th November 2019), Branches will recall the LTRC submitted a resolution regarding the introduction of electronic payslips by London Underground and members access to their payslips.

Interserve security staff offered 'guaranteed minimum hours'

TERMS & CONDITIONS, SECURITY STAFF - INTERSERVE (BR1/14/2)

The Lead Officer recently submitted a report regarding Interserve having written to all staff working on the TfL Contract with a proposal to change a term of the contract from zero hours to a guaranteed minimum number of hours each week. RMT is in favour of replacing zero hour contracts with guaranteed hours and the correspondence from Interserve states that the actual working hours will not change.

Service control dispute update: RMT to conduct a ballot of affected members

BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, SERVICE CONTROL, OSBORNE HOUSE - LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/14/2)

Further to my previous (Circular IR/109/20, 18th March 2020) the Union suspended two strikes related to the above dispute to allow talks at ACAS to take place. It was made clear to management at the time that the dispute is ongoing and would not be resolved until industrial relations at Osborne House had improved sufficiently and all members' concerns had been addressed for good.
