WHY WE NEED A DECENT PAY RISE
Management - and politicians - would have us believe that because of the economic crisis, we should settle for a lower pay rise. The opposite is true: in these difficult economic times, we need a decent pay rise more than ever.
RMT London Calling website has a special section on pay - www.rmtlondoncalling.org.uk/pay. Articles here run through the reasons why London's transport workers need a decent pay rise; answer common arguments, doubts and propaganda; and give you facts about how bills are rising and how much our fat-cat bosses are trousering!
You can also download a special issue of our newsletter going through the arguments about pay, here: http://www.rmtlondoncalling.org.uk/node/209. Please print and distribute it widely around your workmates.
The 'pay' section of the website will also carry reports from union negotiators about pay talks as and when they happen.
