Agency STM has 'locked out' its workers, without pay, for taking industrial action against management bullying. RMT asks you to give your full support to our members and join an urgent protest about the outrageous persecution.

London Overground Security Staff Take Industrial Action Over Bullying

TRANSPORT UNION RMT confirmed today that security and safety staff employed by STM Security Group on the London Overground contract will be taking industrial action this week in a dispute over bullying and harassment and an attempt to impose workplace changes without agreement.

London Transport Mitie Engineers And Electricians Balloted For Action

TUBE UNION RMT confirmed today that electricians and engineers working for contractors Mitie on the TFL contract are to be balloted for strike action and action short of a strike in a dispute over redundancies and unilateral changes to working conditions.

CHANGES TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND POSSIBLE REDUNDANCIES – MITIE (TFL CONTRACT) (LUL/14/2)

“We note the report from the Assistant General Secretary and are appalled that fraud was committed in the compilation of the business case and that this employer intends to go ahead with redundancies anyway.

We therefore instruct the General Secretary to:-

  • Seek press coverage of this situation
  • Seek urgent legal advice on our options for putting a stop to these redundancies going ahead

RMT Seeks Legal Advice As MJ Quinn Refuses To Recognise Workers Union

We note the report from our Regional Organiser, and that MJ Quinn is refusing to recognise RMT for those employees transferred from Emcor, despite this union’s recognition for these members when they worked for Emcor.

In accordance with our Regional Organiser’s request, we instruct the General Secretary to obtain and place in front of us legal advice on the collective bargaining and recognition arrangements being transferred from Emcor to MJ Quinn under the TUPE regulations.

CBS Outdoor Bargaining Agreement

We note the report from our Regional Organiser, and note that our branch is discussing with our representatives a proposed draft bargaining agreement. In line with our Decision No.G309, 23 February 2012, the completed draft is to be placed in front of the GGC.

Cubic Transportation Pay Offer Agreed

We note the report from our Regional Organiser, and having also consulted with our branch, we instruct the General Secretary to advise the company of our acceptance of the company’s final offer before the deadline for payment in time for Christmas.

We further instruct the General Secretary to ensure that a pay claim is submitted in line with union policy for 2013, and to obtain a plan for improving organisation of this workforce from our LU Engineering branch.
