From RMT General Secretary Bob Crow

Tuesday 9th July, 2013 7:00pm

Committee Room 5, House of Commons

The Trade Union Co-ordinating Group, which comprises of ten trade unions (BFAWU, FBU, NAPO, NUJ, NUT, PCS, POA, RMT, UCU and URTU) and represents over one million trade unionists throughout the UK, have invited RMT members to listen to the concerns of unions, lawyers and campaigning groups in relation to the current issues facing workers.

Confirmed Speakers: Bob Crow (General Secretary, RMT); Steve Gillan (General Secretary, POA), Ronnie Draper (General Secretary, BFAWU) John Hendy QC, Ian Murray MP (Shadow Minister fro Employment Relations)

On July 9th the Group will be hosting a seminar and discussion which is open to RMT members in honour of the Tolpuddle Martyrs, to discuss blacklisting and trade union and employment rights.

Over the past 3 years the Coalition has set out to destroy workers rights, health and safety as well as trade union activities in workplaces. This year will see their relentless attacks continue with the Deregulation Bill which is expected to continue grinding down health and safety in the work place, basic employment rights as well as a sustained attack on trade unions and their very existence.
