Tube Dispute Update

Rates of Pay & Conditions of Service and Night Running – London Underground Every Job Matters – Defending Jobs on London Underground

Dear Colleague,

LONDON UNDERGROUND DISPUTES UPDATE

Rates of Pay & Conditions of Service and Night Running – London Underground
Every Job Matters – Defending Jobs on London Underground

Further to my previous letter dated 24th August, all industrial action in respect of the above two disputes was suspended to allow discussions at ACAS to continue and as you will be aware, it has now been confirmed that the imposition of Night Tube on 12th September has been deferred by LUL.

As a result of the above and at the time of writing, there is no further industrial action planned on London Underground however, any movement towards the implementation of Night Tube, including running any test trains for Night Tube, will lead to us calling further industrial action without delay. Likewise, if our reasonable demands to protect the jobs and terms and conditions of Station Staff are not met, this will also lead to us calling further industrial action without delay.

Make no mistake that the positive progress made so far is due to the action and resolve of all RMT members throughout these disputes and our priority in the on-going discussions is to ensure a fair deal for all members, including a genuine work/life balance for all, a decent pay offer for 2015, proper reward and recognition for Night Tube and protection of our hard-won agreements.
