As RMT members at the TOCs and Network Rail prepare to take further strike action on 18th and 20th August and members at London Underground and London Overground on the 19th August, please join General Secretary Mick Lynch and the rest of the Union's leadership at an important online member briefing on Wednesday 17th August at 6pm in support of the Union's campaigns to defend jobs, pay and conditions.

This will be an opportunity to hear the latest updates from the Union's leadership about the disputes and negotiations.  

RMT Cleaners' campaign event launch

The RMT London Transport Region is organising a campaign launch event as London Transport cleaners working for ABM on the Tube and ISS on the Docklands Light Railway ramp up their right for a fair deal.

To attend the event, which will take place on 25th of August, and to confirms times, please speak to a local rep or branch official. 

The event will take place all day at the Indian YMCA, 42 Fitzroy Square, W1T 6AQ.

RMT sets out ABM cleaners' demands

RATES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2022 - ABM (LUL CONTRACT) (LUL/0001/ABM)

Further to my previous Circular (IR/135/22, 28th June 2022), this matter has been considered by the National Executive Committee and in line with its decision, I have advised the Company that unless the following demands are met, a dispute situation will exist between us and this Union will not hesitate to initiate a ballot for strike action:-

SUMMARY:

The pay gap reports show that the persistence (and in some aspects, worsening) of pay disadvantage experienced by women, black, ethnic minority and disabled workers arises from two main areas:

Strike on 19th of August; all grades together

London Underground’s latest management bulletin says striking will only make matters worse. This from the management who agreed to operate the tube with no subsidy at all and only now realise they can’t do it.

The Mayor, government and TfL are having secret negotiations about OUR pensions, job security and working conditions.

RMT demanded to know what is in the financial offer made by government to TfL. They won’t tell us. All we get is mealy mouthed politician’s answers.

We demand REAL assurances:
