Tube Strike Suspended As Talks Continue

We note the report from our Lead Officer. LUL have suspended Night Tube and talks will resume at ACAS. This is due to the action and resolve of our members. We therefore instruct the General Secretary to suspend the industrial action planned for the 8th and 10th September, and advise London Underground.

We further instruct the General Secretary:-

  • To give a full report of our progress in talks to the Rally of our members on 7th September
  • To inform members by letter, text and e-mail of the reasons we have suspended the action, and invite them to the Rally on 7th September
  • To organise a Reps meeting for 10:00 hours on the 15th September to discuss progress in the talks

However we instruct the General Secretary to inform LU that we remain in dispute and all industrial action called to not cooperate with Night Tube at local level/modelling/trials should remain in place. Also we state that should further negotiations prove negative then further industrial action should be called in defence of our agreements and for a proper pay for our members.

This matter to be put back before the GGC on the 15th September after the Reps meeting, to decide whether we need to reinstate industrial action.

Relevant Branches and London Transport Regional Council to be informed.
