Support The Tube Overtime Ban

All London Underground members are congratulated for the hugely successful strike action which took place across the network during Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th July. Now, while RMT remains available for further talks with London Underground, all members are urged to continue to take part in the overtime ban and to REFUSE TO WORK ANY OVERTIME.

The overtime ban which has been in place since 21:30 hours on Thursday 9th July is part of the industrial action over the derisory pay offer and the unacceptable offer to compensate you all for the introduction of Night Tube, as well as the Every Job Matters dispute involving Station Staff over job losses, displacements, unacceptable rosters and changes to members’ terms and conditions and the dispute involving Fleet members over the imposition and use of Agency Trainers.

I urge all members to continue to stand united over these important issues which, as things stand, will have a detrimental effect on the work/life balance of all London Underground members and your hard fought for terms and conditions.

This ban on any overtime working will demonstrate that London Underground should be properly staffed at all times with directly employed, fully trained and competent staff and will keep the pressure on London Underground to take all the necessary steps to resolve all of these disputes without delay.

SUPPORT THE OVERTIME BAN
STAND FIRM TOGETHER – UNITY IS STRENGTH

I will keep you advised of all further developments.

Yours sincerely

Mick Cash
General Secretary
