Strike Suspended as Waterloo & City Service Control Staff Win Pay Review

Re-Grading Of Waterloo & City Line Service Control Staff – London Underground
ALL STRIKE ACTION & ACTION SHORT OF STRIKE ACTION IS SUSPENDED
WORK AS NORMAL

Dear Colleagues,

Further to my letter dated 12th December, talks between the Company and your RMT Lead Officer and Reps have taken place at ACAS and significant progress has been made and London Underground has now agreed to a review to explore a way forward that would meet our claims for Service Controller’s to be paid the SCL1 for the job. As a result of these discussions, the negotiating team is of the view that all industrial action should be suspended to allow for this review to take place.

This matter has now been considered by the General Grades Committee, which has noted that significant achievements have been made and that future talks will progress this matter further. THEREFORE, THE STRIKE ACTION DUE TO COMMENCE FROM SUNDAY 21ST DECEMBER 2014 AS WELL AS THE ONGOING OVERTIME BAN ARE SUSPENDED to allow for these further discussions to take place.

I will of course keep you advised of all further developments.

Yours sincerely

Mick Cash
General Secretary
