Positive Cleshar talks see deal accepted

TRACK PATROLLING, CLESHAR STAFF – LONDON UNDERGROUND (LUL/14/1)

Further to my previous Circular (IR/0037/16, 18th February 2016), it was agreed with LUL to review rosters to remove the need to use Cleshars staff to undertake track patrolling duties. These intensive talks have now concluded and an agreement has been reached which gives our members enhanced job security in exchange for agreeing to voluntarily change rosters to either Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Friday. The staff on BV will lose their seven days off however will now receive four days (without accruing the time) as compensation. Additionally, should our night tube talks obtain additional compensation then they will also be entitled to it.

This matter has been considered by the National Executive Committee, which has noted the positive feedback from affected members and taken the decision to accept this agreement. The Company has now been informed accordingly.
