Every Job Matters industrial action suspended

Dear Colleague,

EVERY JOB MATTERS – DEFENDING JOBS ON LONDON UNDERGROUND

ALL ACTION IS SUSPENDED – ALL MEMBERS TO WORK AS NORMAL

DISPUTE RESOLVED

Since we announced the Week of Action in this dispute, your RMT negotiating team has been in intensive talks with LUL to try to reach an agreement. A revised offer has now been received from the Company in respect of Fit for the Future Stations and the details can be found on our website.

This has been considered by the National Executive Committee, which has congratulated our negotiating team for the good progress made and taken the decision to inform the Company of our acceptance of these proposals. In doing so, the Union has reaffirmed our concerns about the Fit for the Future concept but also notes that the new model will commence from 7thFebruary 2016. RMT is no longer in dispute with LUL over this matter although your Lead Officer will continue to provide further reports during the implementation of Fit for the Future Stations and we will remain vigilant about its consequences and any adverse impact it may have on members.

Therefore, ALL RMT STATION GRADES MEMBERS SHOULD BOOK ON FOR SHIFTS AND WORK AS NORMAL. LUL has been informed accordingly that the dispute is now resolved and that all associated industrial action has been cancelled. It is clear that during the last two years, the Union has been able to gain major concessions from LUL and all RMT members must be congratulated for enabling us to reach this position.

Yours sincerely

Mick Cash
