Olympic Talks Between RMT And London Underground Progress At ACAS

Your negotiating team met with LUL under the auspices of ACAS yesterday. The company has not changed its financial offer, and has proposed that in the event of duties remaining uncovered by volunteers at any location, the level 1 committee will meet to resolve it. There is no proposal to change Framework Agreements.

RMT LGBT Conference at Jury’s Inn, Southampton 18th May 2012 Report by Jo Parry.

A total of 23 delegates took part in this year’s conference the largest delegation that I can recall in the last few years. (29 were registered to attend). 7 delegates where from London Transport Region. 4 female delegates were on the list to attend; however, yet again I was the only female delegate to actually turn up.

Rmt Backs Public Meeting With Olympic Legend And Equal Rights Activist John Carlos From The 1968 Games

RMT ACTIVISTS from London Underground are proud to have initiated a public meeting “Resistance – the Best Olympic Spirit” with one of the two athletes who featured in arguably the most iconic image from the modern history of the games, John Carlos who raised a gloved fist along with his comrade Tommie Smith on the podium in Mexico in 1968.

Further to my circular of 14 Feb I am writing to remind you about this year’s Tolpuddle Martyrs’ Festival and Durham Miners’ Gala.

The date of this year’s Tolpuddle Martyrs’ Festival is the weekend of 13-15 July. This is an excellent and very popular event commemorating some of the pioneers of trade unionism. The procession and rally will take place on the Sunday 15 July.
