Protect the Right to Strike - Email Your MP

Our MPs will soon get their first chance to debate the government's Trade Union Bill, as it receives its second reading in the Commons. It's an important chance to raise early objections to this draconian legislation.

Please use this link to write to your MP to state your opposition to the Trade Union Bill:

Furthermore, the TUC will organise a national demonstration in Manchester this autumn against the government's austerity agenda and attacks on trade unions. It will take place on Sunday 4th October and will begin with a march through central Manchester, culminating in a rally close to the Conservative Party Conference. Assembly will be at 12.30 with a rally commencing at 1pm on Oxford Road.

A mass rally and lobby of Parliament will take place on 2nd November 2015 from 11.30. The rally will take place in Westminster Central Hall prior to the lobby. Members are encouraged to join the TUC and other union members from all over the country by coming together to lobby and rally against the Trade Union Bill.

The Trade Union Bill is a massive attack on trade unions across Britain, but particularly in sectors such as transport. RMT has responded to the government consultations on this matter and we are continuing to work with the Campaign for Trade Union Freedom.

Please make every effort to email your MP, attend these important demonstrations and lobby, and to encourage family, friends and colleagues to do likewise. We need to show the Government how strongly we value our trade union rights and that we are prepared to fight their proposals.

Yours sincerely,
